Mexico-Week 22

Hello everyone.  It has been an exciting week.  Not necessarily a good exciting though.  I sprained my ankle last week.  I feel like I have been on house arrest for a week.  There’s not much else to report.  I read all of the letters of Paul and am sooo close to finishing the Bible.  I also read 32 chapters of the D & C.  I’ve been really bored.  Tomorrow is our Christmas dinner with Presidente, so that'll be something exciting.  A member is making new dresses for us especially for the occasion.  It will only cost $5 dollars.  I love the cheapness of fabric here.  She’s also teaching me to sew, because we have to be on divisions (splits) all day every day because of my ankle!  My dress is blue and my companion’s is pink.

They put my foot in a cast-like thing.  I was told that I can only go from the bed to the bathroom and that’s it.  I miss Uncle Brent being able to fix all my hurts.  I hurt my ankle by walking on a dirt path and my foot slipped.  My companion accidently bumps my foot during the day.  It really hurts.  I had an x-ray.  Everything else looked good.
This week I’ve learned that it is so important to trust in God and do it His way.    So many of our investigators come to us with their idea of what God's religion should be.  They don’t want to learn.  They’re telling God what his plan is and what he should be doing for them and not listening to Him.  It makes a big difference when the people finally say, “ok, I’m listening.”
Tomorrow we are going to Querétaro for the dinner and then afterwards I’ll go see another doctor about my ankle.
I have never heard of the song El Burrito Sabanero.   Can you send me a copy?  Apparently, it’s very traditional because my companion knows very well.
Check out the awesome tan line!

My note from the doctor.
Tell Grandma Pugh that I made a star for the candy tree.  It was so fun to see all of the little cousins in the pictures.  I miss them.  Give them all a big hug for me.
We're still freezing every night but it’s better now that we have blankets and a space heater.
It still hasn’t snowed in Utah?!?!  How is that even possible!??!
Dad, I’ve found that missionary life is never boring.  Even tracting for us is fun!

I got my nails done for the Christmas dinner.

Madeline is sounds like you had a great time on your date.
Nada mas por el dia de hoy. (Nothing else for today.)
