Hola everyone! We finally finished all of the millions of
things we had to do. This week was super hard. We have 3 investigators and we had no one at
church yesterday. Which means that, for
us, it’s a really, really bad week. We can’t keep people who aren’t progressing
so we had to drop Romueldo and Eliseo. Our area is really suffering.
We are basically starting from scratch. We are totally starting
over this week. We took the area book and are visiting every single old
investigator that this area has ever had to try and find someone who is
interested. It’s been super tough.
The scriptures that I’ve been reading have helped. I always find something that is so
appropriate for the situation.
These pictures are from our last P-day.
I
found a new shirt that was hiding in a corner. I think it’s one of Hermana Medina's
old shirts that somehow we didn’t give away. I love it so I’m using it. It’s
super bright and flowery.
We
have had no money for the past two weeks. We have gone to Querétaro 6
times this month so we ran out of money.
We had to go to a doctor for my companion, a zone conference, a meeting
with a Seventy, a district meeting and tomorrow a zone meeting again. It’s super stressful to not have any money.
We have to go again tomorrow, but we don’t have any money for the
bus. It’s a problem. All ten of us in this part of the zone have
had to call Pres and ask for more money.
We should get some tomorrow.
There have been good parts
of this week! We had a meeting with one
of the Seventies over México. His name is Presidente De Hoyos. He's super awesome and we learned a lot about
how to get references more easily and it really works! We also learned
about how we need to teach the Atonement all of the time. It’s inseparably
connected to the restoration of the gospel and the message that we share!
If people don’t understand the expiacion (Atonement), they can’t have a
desire to be baptized! It is so true.
They can’t have faith if they don’t understand this part. So, we've
been working with that. Our message is one of a new life. It’s about
starting over.
The
cookies are homemade chocolate chip cookies. There is a member in Querétaro who
is from the U.S. and she made them for us. We taught her in English =) it
was great!
Splits with the Hermanas
The office told me that I
have a package waiting for me. I am so excited!
This
is Hermana Arias. She’s in my same generation. We came into the mission at the
same time. She's awesome.
We've
had this tree for the past 4 weeks. We
are celebrating Christmas for two whole months.
As a missionary you never know if you’ll get transferred.
Nicholas, funny en espanol (in Spanish) es (is) chistoso. I love that you are learning Spanish the same
time as I am.
To celebrate my 6 month mark we are having a party as soon as we
have money. We're going to make
chocolate chip zucchini muffins. My
favorite!
Mom, that’s too bad that the elders you had over wouldn’t talk to
you. I feel like we talk too much! We seriously talk all the time. We talk about
everything there is too. Our Spanish is definitely not limited to the church. We
talk sports, food, everything. We want to know about them and about their
friends. For them to give us references they have to trust us. We
have to know about them and we care about these people. So, yeah, we talk
a ton! That’s seriously so weird that they wouldn’t talk! Maybe
they were both super shy?
Um...I just realized that its Thanksgiving. No one celebrates it
here so...i forgot about it. That’s ok.
I’m just excited for Christmas when I finally get to talk to my family!
Christmas flowers
We
have to hurry off to an appointment.
Goodbye! Hermana Talbot
