Mexico-Week 15

Dear family and friends,
Our investigators are both progressing and not progressing.   We dropped over 12 people this week.   Romueldo is finally going to start his divorce papers and Ireri can’t get married until December because Mexico has some crazy laws for marriage and there's a waiting list.  Getting people married is definitely the thing that holds almost every investigator back here in Mexico.  We found a few new investigators who have a lot of promise.  We're trusting a lot in the Lord as we plan a baptismal service every week without anyone to get baptised. It is really scary, but we act in faith, right?
My comp
How is Grandpa Talbot doing?  Is he ok?  When will he have surgery?
Say hello to everyone in the ward for me.
ELENA HAS HER TEMPLE RECOMMEND AND I WASN’T THERE TO GO WITH HER?!!!??  We'll have to go together the moment I get back!
To answer questions:  In Mexico it rains everyday for at least 20 min or all day long. I write about 1 page or less every day here in my journal about my mission.  There's a lot that I’ll want to remember 20 years down the road.   How many investigators have I had? ...who knows. over 100.
Here is the art I bought.
This week we put in practice what Pres taught us - faith. We planned a baptismal service this week even though we had no one to be baptized. We didn’t baptize anyone, sadly.  (And all the members came.)  We will continue to have faith and plan these things.
We also had a breakfast with the bishop.  He has 6 people in his family and they all came to our house to get to know us.  We fed them all.  With the little money we have each month somehow we came up with a lot of food, but we didn’t have chairs.  Thank heavens that we have the elders to help us out.  They are willing to go to the church at 8 in the morning and get chairs for us then bring them to our house in the pouring rain! :) They’re kinda awesome. :)
This is a picture of the little town at the base of La Pena.

Have a great week, Hermana Talbot
