Mexico Week 4

Hola!  Wow...life is crazy.  There's a new rule in the mission that we now have even LESS time to write our families and do everything.  So, sorry if I don’t get to everything today!  This week we met the rest of Ireri's family - two of whom are completely deaf.  Ireri's son is tri-lingual so he was translating for us which was super cool!  I want to be this kid.  Ireri has reaccepted a date for baptism (she had to come to church 5 times so we had to change it because she was out of town) and she should be getting baptized by the end of this month!  I love to see how her life has changed.  Efren, another investigator, dropped us out of the blue and we can’t get a hold of him to figure out why.  He returned his videos through a friend which is really sad.  But, for the most part, our area has really improved during the weeks while we have been here.  We went from one investigator to many families and multiple baptism dates!  It’s awesome!
We had a few days where everything seemed to go wrong.  It doesn’t help that I don’t know what is going on. J
Hey, does someone have stuff to teach the basics of English? (the different sounds of vowels and stuff like that.  How to explain reading...)
Also, send recipes.  The members here want to try American food.
We've had some pretty scary experiences with spiders this week.  We've killed two different, extremely poisonous spiders either that were 1) in our bathroom or 2) on me in the street.  How we weren’t bitten, I truly don’t know.  Soooooo scary!!!!
Sometimes, people will get on the bus and rap in order to get money.  Let me tell you, if you thought rapping in America was bad, imagine rapping with no beat, rhythm, or anything.  Ugh.
On a typical day we visit referrals, investigators and members.  We also track quite a bit because the elders left us no investigators.  And if your numbers aren’t perfect you get called by the assistants to the pres or the pres to find out why they aren’t perfect.
Sam's Club was disappointing because they didn’t have American food!  But they did have some pretty awesome muffins, so it turned out ok.  Today we found Golden Puffs in a store somewhere (no idea where) and I about died of happiness. :D
To Josh - PRACTICE YOUR PIANO  Seriously, Josh-man.  You will be called on to play whenever.  I’ve learned to practice while we wait for investigators to show for our meetings in the church. Practice the hymns.  Learn to sing so that you can teach people the correct tune.
Ah, I don’t really have more to say.  I could start talking in Spanish but that would take too long...
Adios! Hermana Talbot
