Mexico-Week 3

Hey everyone!
Wow, emailing is the best - everyone looks forward to it all week and now it's finally here!  Woot woot!
Mexico is awesome.  It's really, ridiculously hot here today.  Especially since Mexico doesn't believe in air conditioning.  :)  Adventures!
Question to the family- why did your camping trip get canceled? Was it because of grandpa?  Also, I am jealous of all the delish food you had this week - but I had better food, so ha!
Funny that everyone should mention Rio 2 – it’s literally everywhere right now.  We saw part of it today in Sam's in Spanish which was insanely confusing.
Yes, the direction to fast once a week is from President.  It isn’t a lot of fun, but no one should worry.
It sounds like grandpa is doing much better.  We'll continue to pray for him.  Tell him I love him :)
Today we went to Sam’s which was really weird because it turned out to have only Mexican food.  We used a member's trajeta to get in.  :)
We have a new investigator by the name of Luis Angel who is an old investigator of the elders and wow has he changed his life around since then.  Now, he has a testimony, has read the Book of Mormon, doesn’t drink or smoke, or drink coffee, and (I’m guessing) other stuff.  Craziness - the only problem is that he works Sundays in order to support his parents and to be able to attend college.  He wants to be baptized, but again work is a problem.  We have hope for him yet!  Also, we didn’t really work at all this week because we were in Queretaro almost every day for one thing or another.  Monday was pday, Tuesday was district meeting, Wednesday all the missionaries in this mission helped with EFY (which was awesome!), Thursday I had to do passport stuff and Hermana Medina got a tumor taken out of her eyelid (so really nothing got done that day because she was loopy from the pain meds.  She was awake for it and could see what was going on!  Only a few days of work, but what a crazy few days!  Efren accepted a baptism date but then didn’t show up for church.  Ireri and her family came to church and they loved it so much that as they were leaving her super shy son asked if they could come back the next day and almost started crying when she told him that they would come back on Sunday (so great!)  I should talk about what great people Ireri and her husband are - seriously. they are so nice and this week they gave me a hand stitched fan and Hermana Medina a hand stitched handkerchief!  They’re so awesome and I love them.  I love all of our investigators :) Ah, the family feeling of Mexico is the best!
 Love, Hermana Talbot
