Mexico-Week 60

Hello everyone!

We got to meet and shake hands with an apostle this week. Elder D. Todd Christopherson came to our mission. It was great and spiritual and everything!!!! He got up at the end after the prayer and to specifically tell us that the testimony of Joseph Smith is true, that the spirit had told him to get up and tell us that.  The Spirit was so strong.

Joseph Smith's testimony includes the fact that God exists, that He loves us enough to answer our prayers, that Christ is real, that He is the only begotten of the Father, and that the entire church had to be restored by a prophet, one of whom we listened to and shook hands with.  It was a great meeting!

In other news, I HAD TRANFERS. I am now in Lagos del Moreno.  This was a regular transfer time.  This is the area furthest away from the mission home.  I’m in another state now, Jalisco. I’ve now had the 2 areas on the farthest edges of the mission, San Juan del Rio (my first area) and now here.  This is awesome!  I’m in a branch  And to top it off, I’m with Hermana Cruz!!!  Wait, you say, weren’t you with Hermana Cruz in your last area? Well, there are two of them here. And now I’m with the other one.  She is tall too.  :D  I feel like this whole week has been a blessing.  This area has the reputation for being one of the hardest in the mission.  I will really be able to work my guts out here during my last few months.  Hermana Cruz is also famous for being extremely nice.  I had met her before in Queretaro.  It will be great!  I'm so happy!!!
Here we are with Jonathan.
AND one more great thing, JONATHAN GOT BAPTISED.  Yup. he got baptized 2 days before I left.  It has been a great week!
This is Gustavo.
We had a ward activity.  We had to put marshmallows in our mouths and say "conejo gordito" (chubby bunny).
Here's some district pictures.  Elder Martin & Elder Cruz are our district leaders.
This is the bishop.
Hermano y Hermana Peña.  He is the ward mission leader.
Some of our ward missionaries.
Saying goodbye to Hermana Cruz.

That's all for this week.  Love, Hermana Talbot
