Mexico Week 36

Hola!  I DONT HAVE TRANSFERS. I AM SO HAPPY. MY COMPANIONS ARE BOTH STAYING WITH ME.  SOOOOOO HAPPY.
For other news, this week has literally rained 24/7. I’m not joking. I don’t have dry shoes or socks or anything. It’s cold. I thought it couldn’t be cold here, but its super cold. We had ice in the morning on the front steps. I about slipped and died. Thank heavens for the heaters and lots of blankets.
Our only progressing investigator (Luis) didn’t come to church on Sunday and we don’t know why. We haven’t been able to get a hold of him. BUT, we did find another investigator (Octavio) who is now progressing (yay!) and the whole ward apparently knows him and they are super willing to help him learn more and progress. SO, we might have TWO baptisms if all goes well.  (YAAAAAAYYYYY)
We learned to be patient and how to laugh. We literally danced in the rain.
In the rain we came upon two drunk men in their 60s. They called us, asking if we were tesigos de joevah (Jehovah Witness). No, we're missionaries of the Church of  Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
“You don’t have the yellow book?”
No, we don’t.
“But we love to read the yellow book...”
We have a book that’s even better.
“Really?”
Yup. It’s called the Book of Mormon. Would you like one?
“You would give us the book that's even better than the yellow book?”
“Yes!”
We took down their directions and will be visiting them when they’re not quite so drunk.
They thought Hermana Perez was the daughter of Hermana Ibarra. hahahahaha
I think I must be the awkward sister.  J

Goodbye for now, Hermana Talbot

This is a famous bullfighter.
