Mexico-Week 32

Hola!  So, this week was awesome!  First, my companion is the best. I freaking love her!

Here we are waiting for an investigator to come home.

Second, the area’s really been picking up. We are finally getting references. We had quite a few miracles this week. Brian, an investigator who's been investigating for more than 2 years, finally understood why Sunday was such an important day. He promised to do everything possible to change his day without work so that he could come.
Then, here's another miracle, we didn’t have any investigators, and we had had a really hard day on Thursday, not finding anyone home all day. We had a lesson with Brian at 7:30 and showed up half an hour early to the church for lack of things to do. Surprise! 1) the church was open and people were playing sports and surprise 2) a young man of 18 years walked into the church and asked us what time the services started. It turns out he wasn’t a member and he wants to be baptized, and HE LIVES IN OUR AREA!!!   I’M SO HAPPY.  IT’S GREAT! His name is Luis.
And that’s not all, we also met Isabel Cortez, whose parents I know from my last area.  The parents are converts and she wants to have the same change in her life that they had in theirs. She's pregnant and wants to have an eternal family!!!! She also has a baptism date. :)
It’s basically the best week of my mission. SO HAPPY:):):):):):):):):):):):)
I put the water down on the bag of cement and it exploded on me.
Valentine’s Day was interesting. We contacted couples and then, we bought 1 chocolate for every 5 couples we contacted.  It was fun!

I haven’t gotten any mail in a while but we should be getting mail tomorrow. We’ll see what happens. I’m missing a lot of letters that people have said they sent me... :((((  The mail here isn’t reliable.
The eating schedule here is more consistent.  We eat at 7:00am, 2:30 pm, and 10 pm.  It’s different than home, but its normal here in Mexico.
Our house is clean and smells like the temple - chlorine and water.  We don’t have a mop, so we used an old sweater and a crutch. Pretty darn hilarious, but we got the job done ;)

Adios, Hermana Talbot
