Mexico-Week 13

Hello everyone.  I can’t believe it was time for the Cameo Park Ward Walkabout already.  IM SO JEALOUS YOU GUYS HAD GRANDMA'S SCONES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I REALLY WANT THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To answer a question:  No, I don’t dream in Spanish but I do think in Spanish and it’s hard to talk in English sometimes. That is good, I guess. Although when people want to practice their English with me or when they want me to help them with homework it’s hard to remember the stuff.

ELENA GOT A PHONE?! Woot woot for her! (Wow, she's way too little for stuff like that!)  I’m glad that Elena liked her gift and used all the rubberbands.  We use her bracelet that she sent me of the Mexican colors every day all day long to remind us whose turn it is to pray next.  :) Everyone comments on how much they like it! New words I learned this week...calvo...it means bald spot.  Yup.
Hearing General Conference in Spanish is definitely an experience.  I really tried hard to not fall asleep.   Luckily, Elder Scofield brought pull apart Twizzlers and we had a mini 'American food' party :)  The talks were perfect for our investigators though.  We have an investigator with a date who has a lot of trouble believing in modern revelation. The many, many talks about prophets were perfect for him! :)  I can’t wait to visit him and see what he thought of the conference :)  We had four investigators come and it was in our normal building.

I met my new companion in Querétaro when I went to drop off Hermana Medina.  She's awesome.  We laugh a ton and work very hard :)  It is great!  She's been out for 6 months but really only 2 weeks longer than I have been.  My new companion is AWESOME!  Her name is Hermana Bohorges and she is super funny and super short.  She is from Oaxaca, Mexico.  She is very nice and service oriented.  I love her to pieces.  Seriously, I hope I have a long time with her as my companion! :)  I don’t think I’m going to be transferred anytime soon but you never know.  I hope I can spend Christmas in this area and preferably with this companion as well!
We haven’t been able to make brownies yet.  We have the ingredients to make oreo cookies  The food situation is good and we eat a ton of food. Pasta is easy and so if French toast.  We eat a lot of fruit, which is good.  I love having a tienda (store) right by our house!
They fumed our house today to kill the spiders.  I sent a picture of the weeds to President so that he'll send someone to take care of them.
Usually, I’m in total Spanish immersion but there are a lot of people who want to practice their English with me.  So, we're starting English lessons as soon as is possible :)  because now my Spanish is good enough that it is a possibility. :)

I forgot to bring my camera so I will send pictures next time.  Adios, Hermana Talbot
