7/2/14
Hello everyone.
Everything is going good. The
World Cup has been big here in MTC. They
write the scores and the highlights on a board right outside the
cafeteria. We were all devastated that
the U.S lost. We have to ask our
investigator, Gilberto, to turn off the games every time we teach him.
Here are some pictures of the elders.
We got our travel plans this week. We leave Monday morning at 2:30 a.m., which
is early. We fly out of SLC at 6:00 a.m.
and go to Dallas. I’ll be able to call
home from there. Plan on picking up the
phone because I don’t know if I’ll have a second chance and I want to talk to
you.
I got a haircut because it was free.
I can’t believe I’m leaving for Mexico. I’m going to be changing cultures and
languages overnight! It’s crazy. We haven’t even learned all of the grammar
rules yet (subjunctive is a doozy!) I
definitely don’t know enough, but I can talk like a caveman. So going to Queretaro on my same flight are
the 4 hermanas and 7 elders in my district.
I’m super excited and yet scared.
We are flying into Mexico City and then being driven to Queretaro. We are getting blessings on Sunday so that
will be good. We started packing today. I just want to be out of here and yet I want
to stay for another 4 weeks.
Mom, thank you for the 4th of July
decorations. We all loved the package!
We are singing in church on Sunday. We are singing “Come Unto Christ.” There’s a video of it and lds.org. Go watch it.
La paz este contigo, Annika
