Hello again. Tell everyone that asks that I'm doing well. We got the bracelets that Elena made today. We love them-they are Mexico colors!
Many funny and crazy things have happened here. We got ice cream but we didn't have any spoons so we ate it using our pens.
We have memorized 1079 new vocabulary words since we've been here. It's insanity!
One of the rules here in CCM (MTC) is that we can't call one another "guys," which is the hardest rule to keep. I probably break it hourly because it is just a part of my vocabulary. My advice to anyone wanting to serve a mission, start breaking the habit now.
We are getting 7 elders in our district this Wednesday. Here's hoping they will be fun and hard-working!
They say you learn Spanish here and then all over again in Mexico; but the more you learn here in the MTC, the easier it will be in Mexico.
We got a new teacher who has really made life here really fun. He's less serious than everyone else. He is hilarious and has the cutest baby boy.

I haven't gotten any pictures with the new elders yet. Life here is insane. I love it here! We spend all day, every day, talking, reading, writing and learning in Spanish. Our language skills are coming along.
Elder Cook came and talked to us this week and you can see me and my companion singing in the choir (it was broadcast.)
We got 2 new investigators and a new teacher this week. Maestro Angel is hilarious and is the least serious teacher here on campus, but somehow we manage to learn a ton.
I love my companion-she's awesome. We have been getting better and better at learning to listen to the Spirit and teach in Spanish. We do flashcards and talk in Spanish even as we run laps or do sit-ups(which is harder than you think.) It can be both crazy busy and insanely boring here at the same time.
I really miss all of you, but I know this is where I'm supposed to be.
We aren't the newbies anymore!
Hermanas Erickson y Doughty are flying to the consulate in L.A. tomorrow and the day after, alternatively. So, we will have a 3-some for 2 days in a row.
Some of the elders and sisters are getting colds, but we can't afford to miss a class here, ever!

We got to spend time with the new elders. 5 out of the 7 are straight out of high school. Sometimes it is hard here because we are so exhausted, but Talbots can do hard things!
I got the opportunity to teach Jose, a man from Guatemala today. The Spirit was so strong. I cannot wait to teach him again and help him know of God's love and plan for him and his family. The Church is true, hermanos y hermanas!
6/5/14
We get to go to the temple on P-day. I love it!
Happy Father's Day to Dad! I hope you had a spectacular day and ate yummy food. I love you and miss you all.
The elders are hard-working and awesome. They loved the Oreos, especially Elder King. It's really fun to see all these new people here.
The Spanish is getting better, but even more important than that is listening to the Spirit. We all work very hard to be able to teach the doctrine and bear our testimonies in Spanish. Madeline and Jonathan, you should say all your prayers in Spanish.
It's awesome here! We are considered conversational now because we can understand a lot and can kind of respond.
I hope all the Pughs had a good time in California. I absolutely loved getting the package and the souvenirs from California. I placed them around our apartment.
Some of the other missionaries can't handle noise, so yay for having siblings!
La doctrine de Jesucristo es verdadero y el Espiritu santo tiene muchas poder en nuestras vidas. (The doctrine of Jesus Christ is true and has a lot of power in our lives.)

Can I just say how much I love playing volleyball? I'm way too competitive for my own good. And basketball here is really fun too. There are enough competitive hermanas to make it super awesome. I'm so tired. There's lots of energy exerted during exercise time. All of the elders in our zone will play too, which is awesome because it ramps up the competitiveness and the level of skill needed to play, as well as the pace of the game. It's great!
Paz este con ustedes, Hermana Talbot
